Community Engagement

Our events team’s main goal is to bring together HBS women, get them involved in the WSA, and help them obtain the resources they need to succeed at HBS.  We hold social events throughout the year to foster community and connection here at HBS, both within our WSA membership & beyond. We are excited to bring the community closer than ever with the first annual WSA retreat in November 2023.

Career Development

The WSA hosts career development events throughout the year, including a semesterly career fair, “Women in Leadership” Fireside Chats, and quarterly speakers in which HBS Women get the opportunity to hear from female leaders such as former CEOs Indra Nooyi (PepsiCo) and Gina Rometty (IBM).

In addition, every year the WSA hosts over 1,000 women at the annual Women in Business conference in February. Drawing people from all over the world, it gives our HBS students and the greater Boston community the chance to learn from and connect with powerful leaders with storied careers in every industry.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

The WSA works extensively with our campus partners, fighting to ensure all students have an equitable experience on the HBS campus. We lead initiatives in Equity Research, Allyship, Sexual Assault Prevention, Diversity & Inclusion, and a new initiative to increase female case protagonists. In addition, our network of Women’s Reps helps provides the encouragement, structure, and support to leaders within each section to facilitate frank and open discussions on a variety of issues related to gender inequality.

Alumnae Engagement

The WSA works closely with its alumnae board to provide continuity in the HBS community of women and provide students the resources they need to succeed at HBS and beyond. We host tri-annual meetings with our alumnae board, a mentorship program, and a summer series in over 8 cities to connect alumnae with current and incoming students.
